As usual, we found some great works yesterday while digitizing the collection. The first two works are by Frank Stella, Arbeit Macht Frei, and Untitled. The work titled, Arbeit Macht Frei, is one of nine lithographs in the series called Black Series 1. The Museum of Modern Art has one of these lithographs as well. These studies could have possibly served as an early prototypes for his renowned Black Paintings from the 1960s. Also featured here is an Ellsworth Kelly print and this amazing blue print from Bay Area artist Tony DeLap from 1965. Great finds!
